Visit the Student Health Center Open House and Learn About Campus Health and Wellness Resources
Students, faculty, and staff are all invited to attend the upcoming Student Health Center Open House on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the second floor of the Student Services Building (SSB). The event will showcase the wide range of free wellness services available to students and offer valuable information to faculty and staff who support them.
Highlights include free blood pressure and blood sugar checks, an opportunity to meet with the health center psychologist, help with TimelyCare registration, and fentanyl overdose and NARCAN response training. No appointment is needed—just stop by and explore how the Health Center supports students in meaningful ways.

Student-Athlete of the Week: The Entire Women’s Soccer Team
Yes, you read that right! The entire Pierce College Women’s Soccer Team is our Student-Athlete of the Week. Why? Because they just pulled off something incredible recently: a 14-0 victory that left everyone on the field, in the stands, and across athletics in awe!
In a performance that can only be described as dominant. The Brahmas fired on all cylinders, showcasing sharp passing, relentless pressure, and pure teamwork from start to finish. Whether it was goal-scorers lighting up the stat sheet, defenders locking down the back line, every single player had a hand in the historic win!

Pierce Celebrates Custodial and Facilities Staff at Appreciation Luncheon
Pierce College honored the incredible work of our custodial and plant facilities teams with a special Appreciation Luncheon last Thursday, bringing together campus leadership and staff for an afternoon of gratitude, celebration, and community. The event featured a catered BBQ lunch to recognize those who keep our college running smoothly, safely, and beautifully every day. President Aracely Aguilar, Vice Presidents, and members of the College Leadership Team were on hand to personally provide gestures of appreciation. On Monday, October 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Pierce College will host a virtual CSU Application Workshop via Zoom to help students complete their California State University applications. This session offers step-by-step guidance, answers common questions, and provides troubleshooting support to ensure your application is submitted correctly and on time. -

On Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm in the Transfer Center, Student Services Building (1st Floor), Pierce College will host an in‑person UC Application Workshop. This session helps students with completing their University of California application and offers on-site assistance with questions or issues. -

Students will get tips and guidance on how to approach these application essays effectively. -
Student Health Center Open House
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on the 2nd floor of the Student Services Building, Pierce College will host a Student Health Center Open House. Fresh Bodega – Free Produce & Pantry Distribution
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, head to the Pierce College Mall (outside the library along The Mall) for a free food distribution event featuring fresh produce and non‑perishables. This community‑focused event is open to all and designed to help support students and staff with food resources on campus. -
CSU Application Workshop
On Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in the Transfer Center on the 1st floor of the Student Services Building, Pierce College will host a CSU Application Workshop. This session offers step‑by‑step help for students completing the California State University application and provides time to ask questions and get support. -
Virtual CSU Guarantee Transfer Success Pathway Workshop
On Friday, October 10, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm via Zoom, Pierce College’s Transfer Center will host a session for 2025 high school graduates on the CSU “Transfer Success Pathway” guarantee. Participants will learn about how the CSU guarantee works and the requirements involved in transferring successfully. -

LAPC Hospitality Industry Showcase & Symposium
On Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm in Building 600 on campus, Pierce College will host its inaugural Hospitality Industry Showcase & Symposium. The event brings together students, educators, and industry leaders to explore evolving trends, highlight in‑demand skills in hospitality, and introduce a new online tool for connecting students with internships and employer opportunities. -
LAPC Theatre Presents Frankenstein
Beginning Friday, October 24, 2025, LAPC Theatre will stage John Nick Dear’s acclaimed adaptation of Frankenstein in the Performing Arts Mainstage, with performances continuing through Sunday, November 2. Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm, including a special sign‑interpreted performance on Saturday, October 25 at 7:30 pm. Directed by Shaheen Vaaz and featuring scenic design, lighting, costumes, and original music, this production explores the haunting themes of creation, rejection, and human identity. Tickets are $15 for students/seniors and $20 general admission; free parking is available in Lot 6.
